Watched your "Hot Mess" declaration. Good for you. I was unable to use medical professionals and it took me until age 42 to break my CPTSD, 11 years before being diagnosed as on the autism spectrum.

I'd overheard a war veteran saying, "if you're not talking about it, it's still PTSD". That really solidified my realization that there really is no refuge in masking. I'm not comparing here, I'm expressing my great happiness that you've been able to do this long before I did, age-wise, and with support. As for teeth, saving teeth, and the tooth fairy, I can't relate to any of that. :) I don't think I'll be at Mile Hi Con this year, but hope to catch you around town some other time. Don't let the bastards grind you down!

Thank you for sharing that. You are so right - there are tons of systemically unjust barriers to diagnosis and mental health treatment, especially in this country, and my journey has been privileged in many ways. Hope to see you at COSine!
